Better Shelter

モリーヌ広場の修復。村の住民との協議を経て、この場所の変革のための目標が掲げられた。2024年には、日陰と座席を提供するための棚が完成。今年は、この新しい広場の施設を充実させるために、木製のキオスク型のシェルターが広場に建設される。フレンドリーで世代間の交流ができるレジャーエリアをデザインし、日陰のスペースを作ることでこの場所に新しい風を吹き込み、タルン川やモン＝ロゼール山脈の景色、静けさを楽しめる環境を整え、この場所を快適で安全、清潔に保つ手助けをする。週25時間の作業。

AROUND THE BASQUE MOUNTAINS

Come and take part in the project to protect several natural sites in the Basque Country! The programme includes guided tours with specialists from the Department and the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels to discover the flora and fauna on site, as well as a range of different tasks: cutting down and removing invasive exotic species on wet moorland, repairing and installing fences in the mountains, creating sunbathing stations for the European pond terrapin (tortoise)... You'll have the opportunity to work on different sites in the middle of nature!

The forteress of Fouras 2

1回6時間の作業で、要塞の北側ファサードの新しい部分の修復。作業内容は、ファサードやコーピングから植物を取り除き、目地を取り除き、石灰モルタルで再目地を行うこと。また、石のコーピングの修理や石切りなど、伝統的な石工事も有り。さらに、異文化理解や持続可能な開発についてのワークショップにも参加。

Le Moulin seigneurial d’Eymet

地域の歴史家や協会のメンバーの協力を得て、エイメの象徴的な遺産の保存に参加。ミル内の石壁に伝統的な石灰塗装を施す技術を持った職人の指導の下で学び、屋外パティオの整備を行う。具体的には、雑草取り、木製床の設置、取り外し可能な日除けの設置、古い壁の修復。また、専門家の指導の下で川沿いの特有の植物について学び、ミルの半島でそれらの手入れも行う。町の大きなイベントである「建築遺産とミルの祭り」のデザインと運営に参加。

INTO THE WILD PROVENCE

Come and help set up a care center for wild animals!
The TOTEM association welcomes you to an international work camp in sunny Le Pradet, where you can join other volunteers on a project to set up a wildlife care center and preserve local biodiversity.
The project is located in the commune of Le Pradet, on land belonging to the Conservatoire du Littoral, and includes 2 buildings to be completely renovated to become care buildings.

Program:
Construction of dry-stone walls to demarcate areas, construction of animal shelters, restoration of antique furniture (1800), landscaping of outdoor areas, organization of garage sales with the commune to present the TOTEM project and international workcamps, creation of a fresco inside the building...

SUMMIT SHELTER: CRAFTING A REFUGE FOR ALL

Join us for an adventure dedicated to making a mountain refuge accessible to all !

In the heart of the Vercors Regional Natural Park, between the majestic mountains of Is?re and Dr?me, lies the village of Le Percy. In this preserved natural setting, we invite you to take part in an exceptional project combining craftsmanship and collective engagement.

This ambitious project aims to improve the infrastructure of the communal refuge in Esparron, a welcoming place for hikers and mountain lovers. Under the guidance of ? Les Abeilles Charpenti?res ?, passionate carpentry artisans, participants will build a covered access ramp for people with reduced mobility and an emergency exit, making the refuge more inclusive and safer. Depending on the progress of the work, additional improvements may be made, such as installing dry toilets for the bivouac, creating a cozy fire area, and implementing other environmentally friendly features.
Whether you are passionate about construction, nature lovers, or simply eager to participate in a collective project, this unique experience awaits you !

The seigniorial mill at Eymet

ハイキングコース沿いにある井戸の美化と修復に参加。現在、コンクリートブロックの壁とタイルに隠されている井戸の元の輝きを取り戻す。周囲の構造を解体、保護用の屋根を再建、既存の屋根を強化。井戸とその周辺の清掃し、整備。地元の住民と一緒に作業を進め、ドルドーニュ地方の活気ある村の典型的な温かくお祭りのような雰囲気を体験する。

Time Traveller's Village Kirchheim

Together we are going to reconstruct a traditional agricultural farm for living archaeology project of the early Middle Ages. In our attempt to make everything the traditional way, and to honor the spirit of the past by preserving its heritage, we avoid using modern tools. The only materials used will be wood, clay, reed, straw and willow rods. Concrete tasks will be:

? the maintenance of gardens and green spaces
? repairing walls and roofs made of clay and reeds
? the construction of a simple wooden shelter

At the same time, there are numerous opportunities for the participants to try out historical craft techniques and gain experience in working with natural building materials.

If there are disruptions during the main work, smaller tasks can also be carried out on the grounds, for example in garden maintenance, building a clay oven or creating wattle fences.

The reconstruction of Neige et Merveilles

Heavens Rock Spangenberg

Workcamp participants are invited to work in different fields: manual, artistically, pedagogical. During the youth camps, you will communicate with kids from diverse backgrounds and join their activities. You will support the camp in logistic areas and support the construction and decoration of an artistic project. It would be helpful to prepare in advance and offer your own workshop ? whether artistic, musical, or athletic?and bring fresh and inspiring ideas. In addition, all volunteers will have the chance to introduce their countries. You should collect ideas at home and bring necessary materials for a creative presentation, including pictures, food, games, or other typical things from your countries. Further details will be provided after the placement in the workcamp. Besides the announced activities, the volunteers will also need to take responsibility by leading groups of young campers in daily works like catering and cleaning.
Study part: The study part of this workcamp will focus mostly on the question about life between past and future, tradition and modernity, small-town life and global correlations. Working at “Himmelsfels“ always encourages encounters between people from different cultures and diverse background.
